What are the SDGs:
In 2015 Governments, academics, private sector, and civil society all around the world together formulated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collection of 17 global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". They outline the broad priorities and 169 specific targets with concrete indicators to work towards in an effort to improve our world.
The Sustainable Development Goals are:
No Poverty
Zero Hunger
Good Health and Well-being
Quality Education
Gender Equality
Clean Water and Sanitation
Affordable and Clean Energy
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
Reducing Inequality
Sustainable Cities and Communities
Responsible Consumption and Production
Climate Action
Life Below Water
Life On Land
Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
Partnerships for the Goals
The goals are broad-based and interdependent. The 17 sustainable development goals each have a list of targets that are measured with indicators. In an effort to make the SDGs successful, data on the 17 goals have been made available in an easily-understood form
